Seventeen days plus however long it takes for you to get your statement -- that is how many days' interest you will be paying.
I am lost here. Lets say your cycle ends on the 15th. You should have an online statement on the 15th or 16th and from then how interest accrues or you have interest free days to pay in full is dependent on your card.
The 15th may vary +/- a day or so month to month so it is totally predictable. You could always pay on the 20th for example - any "few days" after your billing cycle ends. You certainly don't need a statement in-hand as a "may I pay now" and you should have minimum payment information and due date on your electronic statement available on the web.
Once you understand the cycles and application of payments this is not hard, unless you elect to make it so.
ANZ should be able and willing to set your billing cycle date to any date you chose, but why will that make any difference in these days of electronic everything, including pre-scheduled payments and transfers, unless there is a conflict with your pay days/balances? If ANZ will not, perhaps you should look for another card from another bank - ANZ changing the date should be even easier than paying after your billing cycle. :grin:]]>
