Why Movie Reviews ?

Ok, so here is why this forum exists. School Sept 08 holidays, the usual how to entertain the kids comes up, and of course, the never fail take them to the movies is high on the agenda. But which movie – especially if you have to sit through it also???

Well just prior to the holidays, The Movie Show stalwarts reviewed “Journey to the Centre of the Earth” and absolutely bagged it and the performance of Brendan Fraser.

Well, unfortunately, or so it seemed, the short straw was drawn to take the kids to see it on the last weekend, and what a shock – it was great family entertainment.

Not saying it is a movie masterpiece but it really did entertain the kids and that is exactly what it was made for – so it got us thinking at NGE, in what context do these so called movie guru’s review these flicks and then advise us what to see? Clearly they are not on the same wave length as many of us ordinary folks, so why not, we thought, just open a forum and let our 60,000 fellow NGE community members drop in their reviews and recommendations so at least we have some real people’s opinions.
