As with many technology Companies offering cash-back and promotional packages. Canon Australia has been running $50/$100 promotions on certain products. After having been advised by a salesperson at an Harvey Norman store that a Canon Pixma IP4600 printer had a promotional offer from Canon to the value of $100, I purchased the printer on 15/04/09 and duly submitted the proof of purchase details with the claim form to Canon.
They have since responded by email "that bad luck", you made your purchase in that small window between the closing of one promo and the commencement of the next.
So no $100 rebate for this Canon customer and it's nothing to do with Harvey Norman. They take no responsibility for manufacturers promotions.
