Post subject: Hit by taxi and driver just leaves
Organisation name: Yellow Cabs
Issue type: Complaint
At 12:04PM on Friday, 17 June, I was stopped at the lights at the corner of Nudgee Rd and East West Arterial, I was comming from Toombul. I was about 15 cars from the front in the right hand lane. About 6-7 cars in front, an extra lane begins for cars turning right into Nudgee Rd.
While I was waiting, I noticed a Yellow Cab mount the median strip about 5 cars behind me, and beging to drive with only the left wheels on the actual roadway. I thought "this is going to be close". As he drove past me, his left mirror hit mine, folding his back onto itself but not causing any damage to my mirror at all (that I can see). The driver then drove up to the red light and stopped. A few seconds later, the light turned green and he was gone in a second. As the cab was heading towards light, I was able to get his license plate number and write it down.
At 12:30PM the same day, I called Yellow Cabs to make a complaint about this drivers driving. I was informed by the lady who answered "there is nobody in complaints at the moment, I will give them yuor phone number and ask them to call you back". I gave them my number and went back to work. Needless to say, I have had NO call so far.
Why do Yellow Cabs obviously condone this kind of driving?

Better still, go to the police and give them all the details, I think you have a good chance of getting some satisfaction.
I was riding a motorcycle behind a car a while back and the driver of that car threw a cigarette butt out the window which almost hit my helmet (I ducked) so I gave his details to the police, he admitted what he did and was cautioned ( this time) and that was good enough for me.

Considering the way Anna and her Cohorts lauded themselves over the checking of the Taxi Drivers last weekend not a bad idea to report it to the police.
