Shandy of course I don't 'unsubscribe' to spam. The group is not sending the spam. I am trying to unsubscribe from the group's newsletter. Two different topics.

Resubscribe again, open a hotmail account, say kadee576892 at hotmail.com then advise the yahoo group you have a new email address.

Of course you will never use the hotmail email again. Maybe they will drop your normal email & replace it with the hotmail one & reduce the spam.

Unsubscribing actually tells them that you're getting their spam, so they keep sending you more, too late now but it's best not to unsubscribe at all, try blocking or delete from server, if it's a web address like hotmail, you can simply just open a new account and forget about that one.

I made the HUGE mistake of joining this Yahoo group. Within days I was receiving floods upon floods of hardcore porn spam.

This was a direct result of joining this group as I had used a dedicated email address to do so.

While I know unsubscribing wouldn't stop the spam I was annoyed enough to want nothing more to do with the group.

But do you think I can unsubscribe? I continue to get the groups newsletter despite unsubscribing. When I use their unsubscribe link the email bounces back saying I am not a subscriber even though to this day I am still getting their newsletter. I contacted a moderator whose sage advice was to re-subscribe with a note stating I was wanting to unsubscribe and they would then NOT approve the sub application.

Did that and wtf...they subscribed me again.

What do I have to do to be rid of these pests?
