I installed a grid connected 1kw solar system in December last year. Everything went according to plan, and I had a new meter installed.
In late February, early March after all my neighbors had received their electricity bill, and I hadn't received mine, I rang Origin. Since then until August, no bills were automatically issued, and I had to ring for each one. The figures on the bill were way out, and more than double the figures on the meter.
So then started the saga of trying to sort out my bill. Despite constantly being told the bill was right, it was wrong. Origin get a report showing the daily figures. The problem was the highest figure on that report was above the average figure they were billing me for, an impossibility.
I've asked for a copy of that report on 4 occasions, and been told they'll send it out, but I've only received it once, and that was for a period I hadn't even been billed for.
About 4 weeks ago I spoke to an excellent rep who tried to sort it out for me. She referred it on, and when I received the bill, the amount of electricity I take from the grid was finally right.
But the figure I put back in was too low (until this stage it was too high). I've since received another bill for the 3 months to August, which again I think is incorrect. Two weeks ago I rang and spoke to the solar department requesting a copy of the feed-in report. He said he'd get that right out to me, but I am still yet to receive it.
I am just so frustrated by this whole ordeal. I find myself constantly ringing and waiting on hold, and getting no where. The readings on the meter have no correlation with what they're billing me for (they tell me that's normal), and I just want to get it sorted. It's been six months since I first called them, and I've spoken to staff on average about twice a month. I just want it sorted.
