| Got a complaint with this dept .Try to file a complaint.Ring the hot line 1800 number press 3 then ...your reached the over flow.....unfortunately we are unable to connect you ring back again ......WHAT?DO YOU THINK IVE GOT TIME ON MY HANDS TO RING BACK AND WAIT 50 MIN FOR NOTHING.....only to be told you have reached the over flow ......one of Rudds DEPTS gone wrong? |

Govts are elected to run the country for the people.Now when it comes to govt dept`s run by pampered over stuffed public servants,(centrelink a good case for example,) whom run the departments,and advise the govt of the day the best way, then someone has to be held accountable.These puffed up public servants duck for cover anytime there is a hint of scandal,mistakes or just general bad service.Every Australian must keep a check on these so called bully boys hiding in the executive dining rooms of their lavish offices.When something is not running right it has to be exposed and it ever Australians duty to expose them for what they are.

Overflow drops occur because there is insufficient funding for a proper system and staff. It is YOUR and MY MP (i.e. government), rarely the operating level public servants.
That being said, there are many government agencies that are dysfunctional and need a clean out. In some agencies (and industry) even voicing a dissenting opinion can be limiting since you are then no longer a 'team player'. Put something on the table that does less than embellish the agency's minister's reputation and see how that travels! Certainly there is adequate funding. Certainly excellent services are provided, and they will get better.      |
