Not just next month but they seem to be repeated year in year out. I no longer bother recording my fave programmes as I know I've surely seen them before. If it wasn't for the music and comedy channels we'd get rid of it.

Is it just me or are there others out there who are of the opinion they have seen the complete programme repertoire available on Pay-TV?

I have had Austar now for about 6 years - and I must say that I got it primarily because I thought I would have greater choice in the movies available to me. I was also interested in the older, classic pictures that TCM seemed to cater for.

I think that I have now got to the stage I have seen every picture available to them! It seems to me that these pictures, if not repeated regularly throughout the month, turn up again in the month following.

In November, new channels were added to the service - but this to me means only that the same pictures can now be repeated on a new channel.

TCM also seems to becoming a clone of all the other channels and is losing its niche by screening more and more of what is on the other channels.

Austar after enquiry tell me that because the same programme we see on Australian Pay TV is also beamed into about 10 other countries in the Asian/Oceanic region - they have trouble gaining the rights to screen pictures?

I am now getting to the stage of thinking why do I bother to pay for this service when I have seen everything that they have.

(I could add too that the TCM in America is vastly different to that we get in Australia - it shows new programming each month - and stays within its niche range).
