Well done once again to the Store Manager of the above store. I had some issues a while ago and, this evening, he took the time to chat with me and discuss the issue and gave me a Gift Card. He even asked my husband and I to return to the store. We did not leave. I found his honesty refreshing and he was upfront with discussing the issues and advising of how one of my issues helped change a practice within the store.

I know that this site may have a policy of not naming people. However, I hope that as this is a compliment, it might be overlooked. Thanks, it is good to see that you have taken the time to investigate and provide a win/win situation all around.

NGE Note: Would we not then have to make an exception for everyone? Everybody is entitled to their anonymity!!

In 3095 and 3088 we shop at Coles and Woolies (2 of each). While not having any problems with either, staff at the two Coles consistently provide better service and seem to be happier employees - cashiers, stockers, butchers, the lot.

Prior to Myer spinning off Coles, Coles staff seemed under siege or "giving up." They really turned around with new management.

Customer attitude is a biggie, and on a day we have seen some raging jerks being over-employed regardless of a polite customer, but in a wide range of shops, not just markets.

Whilst I do not condone rudeness and discourtesy, I would respectfully venture to suggest that PERHAPS the attitude of the agrieved customer towards the staff MAY be the cause of the problem.

I have shopped at Woolworths - postal code 2448 -since its opening and have never received anything but courtesy and assistance when needed. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff I have encountered there.

Whilst shopping is generally considered a chore that has to be done, I look forward to my weekly shopping.
