Oh and I was grumpy, tired, hung over and hungry to begin with! So anyway I just walked down the street to the next subway!

If the staff are like this I don't even know if it's worth complaining to the manager about it, like I don't even think they would care.
How would I go about telling the owner of the franchise, seems like he would care?
It just seems like I wouldn't be able to get a hold of anyone even if I tried because of the way the place is run, like if I call, I doubt I'd be able to speak to anyone.

Okay so I walk into this subway on Monday the 8th of feb 2010 at about 6pm, vaguely remembering about hearing something bad about it, but I'm hungry so I go anyway.
So subway has changed all their prices and price boards so that they're easier to understand.
I know exactly what I am ordering. A pizza sub with no extras which is $5.65 and a combo deal of 2 cookies and a small drink which is $3. So that's $8.65 all together.
There was also a sign outside that said 10% off for students, I am a student.
So they prepare what I want, where they don't even ask if I want the sub toasted and when I tell them I want it toasted I ask for the tomatoes to go in there like I normally do because I like roasted tomatoes and they said that they can't and because I am hungry, I'm like whatever.
So I get to the cash register, show them my student ID and when I tell what deals I'm using as I am pointing to the price board, I get this rude frowning face from the guy serving me. The total comes to $8.68 with the discount. WTFFFFFF!!!??? That is more expensive than the original price. So I tell them it's the wrong price and the guy gets all angry at me and explains how he did it and how he's correct (adding them up separately instead of using the combo deals on the price board). He even gets a calculator out and adds it up and tells me I'm wrong. I find that quite offensive since I am doing a Maths Degree at uni and I think I would know what I am talking about. So I continue to argue with him and there's no manager on duty to help solve the problem, just three rude staff that can't understand English very well. He also tries to make out that the student deals don't work like that, that he has to add everything up separately and use the student discount, if it works out that it's cheaper to do it without the student discount then what is the point in the discount?! Like they shouldn't even be advertising the discount! I tell them that every other subway does what I'm asking for and he replies that it doesn't work like that because we are a different franchise. The customer waiting behind me gets angry and asks to pay for his first. So I just give up and say I'll have the sub, since there is no combo deal with that and it looks easy enough for them to deal with it. So when I say that he's like "the sub?" and I'm like "yep" and he's like "the sub? huh huh? Are you going to hurry up and make up your mind, there's all these people waiting" and he points at the queue. So I just say "get stuffed, don't talk to me like that, I'm out of here" and he's like "just go" and shoos me with his hand! So they made the sub and all and they were willing to throw it away just so he could be rude to me and try to charge me the wrong price. All the customers in the store probably thought I was a weirdo as well, because of how angry I got!
So basically I got told to hurry up and go away! Grr.
