Post subject: Clear credit card interest rate hike of 3%
Organisation name: Citibank Registered company is listening
Issue type: Complaint

I did a balance transfer a 0% to Citibank last September to what I was assuming was a Platinum Card (pre approval, limit set exceeds standard clear card, phone call, etc). After checking my statement today I found that the original 11.99% card I thought I signed up for is actually going up to 15.49% and the extra fine print of the balance transfer, instead of going to the standard rate at the expiration, goes to the standard cash advance rate!

I phoned Citibank and they said that there's no other offers available to me at present to lower the interest rate. My only option is to apply for another card.

Is anyone else in the same boat?
