I contacted Seek Learning in Aug 2009 and enquired about the Certificate IV in Marketing through OTEN (correspondence).Seek suggested the Diploma in Marketing would be more suitable as I work in a marketing related role.I enrolled into the course,I received the course materials and found that the disc was faulty.I notified OTEN of this, they did not get back to me until the 24th September advising me to put the current module on hold and he was sending out another one.By the time I got started with the new materials it gave me approx. 2 weeks for me for me to figure out if the course was suitable before the census date and I was "locked in".I contacted OTEN on the 10th Oct advising that I was having some difficulties with the course. I experienced great difficulty with the course and corresponded OTEN several times regarding this.I contacted a teacher at TAFE NSW and explained my circumstances, she understood why I was having difficulties and that the Diploma in Marketing was not a suitable recommendation.I contacted Seek Learning 14th Jan to complain about the circumstances and see what my options where to see if I could transfer to a TAFE campus or apply for a refund.I did not hear back from Seek Learning until 3weeks later when they advised to me in writing that they would only offer to transfer me into a Diploma Of Business.I felt I had no other choice but to accept this offer.I was instructed to send back the course materials and they would organise the transfer.I was left waiting another 2weeks and several messages to Seek Learning went un-returned.Only yesterday I received an email advising that they had not offered the Diploma but a "value add" Cert IV plus a skillsoft course. It has been 9 weeks since I made the initial complaint to Seek Learning.I am still waiting for a resolution. The experience with Seek Learning has been a nightmare. They recommended a course to me that was too difficult, the person who signed me up was made to sound like an expert.I was not given sufficient time to decide if the course was suitable due to the course material faults.Their conduct and business practices are deceitful and I feel like I have been conned. I was given the impression from Seek Learning that their role was to just enrol you in the TAFE course.TAFE want nothing to do with me and tell me I am not a TAFE student I am a Seek student hence any problems need to be taken up with Seek. My request for VET Fee Help Assistance has TAFE NSW listed as the VET Provider. All I wanted to do was get a Cert IV in Marketing. Now almost nine months later, all I have is a $5,988.00 vet fee help debt and a very bad blood pressure problem from the stress. No modules have been submitted as I have been waiting for Seek for 3 months to sort this out and the course is just too hard for me.I know in my heart that I am not the only one who has been conned by Seek Learning. If anyone is reading this DONT USE SEEK LEARNING!!

Yes, it can be frustrating doing off campus if there are problems that occur. I live in Melbourne and did the 'Certificate III in Business Administration' at Box hill Tafe off campus, and i was very happy with their materials, service and i completed it in one year. Its best to do off campus in your own state so you can see them personally if there is a problem. It is best to have a basic knowledge of computers to be successful in this course.
