Hi guys,

My post is to do with Red Rooster in Greensborough Melb. VIC.
Last night I visited the store around 8.00pm as I have many times before and ordered 1/2 chicken and chips with a large roast vegetables. The blonde girl in drive-thru was rude and arrogant! She slammed the window closed in my face as I was saying thank-you! No receipt given either. I let it go and put it down to a bad day perhaps. (I worked in Hospitality for 15 years so I know it happens)
I returned home and proceeded to serve up the food to my wife and daughter. Upon opening the containers I discovered that the food was un-stomachable (if you have taste buds). The vegies had been cooked at least 3 or 4 hours before, the potatoes were spotty and brown, and the pumpkin was waterlogged and tasteless so I didn't dare try the carrots. The chicken was dry and horrible and the chips were soggy and old. I packed the food back into its containers and returned to the store which is 3 streets away.
When I entered the store at 8.20pm roughly 20 or so minutes later. There was no-body at the counter, a girl grabbing drinks from the fridge, a cook in the back standing with his arm crossed and two employees at the drive-thru window (one was the manager). The cook saw the upset look on my face and twice tried to get the young manager of Indian decent to come to the counter. No such luck even after every employee who was on (4 in total) asked him to come to the counter, he still didn't. I looked at the girl stocking the drinks and said "I'm sorry" and she replied "don't worry, it happens all the time".
The young blond girl who originally slammed the drive-thru window in my face came to the counter, stood two metres to my right, looked at her manager and said "What? What do you want me to do?" While throwing her hands in the air.
The young manager finally came to the counter and I asked "Is this the way you normally serve food here?" To which he replied "Yes". "Not good enough" I said. He went to his office PC and fiddled with some number keys and then went to the drive-thru comp and printed a docket that said 30 mins earlier!
He either adjusted the time on the receipt or it was simply someone else’s order docket. He didn't ask me for a receipt as he knew I wasn't given one at time of purchase. Strange that.
I asked for a re-fund and his name on the receipt in his hand, which he claimed was mine.
Upon leaving I noticed his blank expression, LACK OF A SINGLE APOLOGY, shrugging of his shoulders and looking down at the floor and to top it off he turned his back on me as I was leaving.

Ironically I went to KFC afterwards and they forgot my drinks! At least the manager himself presented the meal with a million dollar smile and said "have a great night" I laughed inside and shook my head. Ahhh...

I have written a letter to Red Rooster Head Office but I fear my complaint will fall on def ears.
