Organisation name: Crust Pizza
Issue type: Complaint

So we decided to order from Crust Pizza, as I had a buy one - get one free voucher from an Entertainment book.

My sister phoned the nearest store (Williamstown) to order our meal. She mentioned we had a voucher and was told by the lady on the phone that the voucher was valid only for 'pick up.' I jumped on the phone to dispute this - the voucher did not have any such rule and I had already used the same voucher (with no problems) at another branch.

I was passed onto the manager who also said we could not use the voucher. I argued my point and suggested that if they were going to enforce such a rule it would need to be written on the terms and conditions on the voucher (which it wasn't)

He agreed and we finally placed our order. Even spelling out our street name to ensure no issues.

AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER... still waiting.

I phoned the store for an update on our delivery. The manager answered the phone. I asked the whereabouts of or order (he remembered me straight away) and he rudely responded:

"we are not sending out your pizza as the voucher is for pick up only"

????????????????

I was shocked. I asked why no one bothered to let us know that they had decided not to go ahead with our order - they said they lost our number. How convenient.

To say I will never ever eat from Crust Pizza again is an under-statement.

At no point did anyone apologise for what happened. They deliberately lead us to believe our order was being processed when they never had any intention of delivering it.

I also jumped onto the Entertainment book website to confirm the terms and conditions of our voucher. Which were correct, no restrictions regarding pick up at all.

Once the angst has begun it's time to eat elsewhere. Nobody who is annoyed with me even gets to breathe near my food let alone prepare it. Imagine.
